Dr. Hickson is one of the most globally respected geologists with over 40-years of geothermal exploration, development, operations, and maintenance experience. Having spent 25-years with the Geological Survey of Canada, Dr. Hickson has played a key role in the evolution of geothermal in Canada. Internationally, Dr. Hickson has conducted greenfield exploration in 8 countries, and in previous roles as VP Exploration and Chief Geoscientist, has spent significant time developing, operating and maintaining geothermal projects in Chile, Iceland, Italy, Peru, and the U.S.
Dr. Hickson has been directly responsible for the operations and resource management of an aggregated 190 MW of operating geothermal facilities that includes Soda Lake in Nevada, U.S. and the Svartsengiand Reykjanes facilities in Iceland.
Gray Alton has 20 years of construction experience that spans the full spectrum of project development. With extensive on-site labor and management experience within the civil, heavy industrial, power transmission, and commercial building industries, Gray leverages his experience and extensive network to identify opportunities and move developments from conceptual/feasibility to construction and commissioning completion.
Gray has helped secure and execute over $500M USD worth of construction infrastructure contracts as a manager or executive, along with filling sales and management roles for maintenance contractors which includes the successful negotiation of a 5+ year service contract with one of Canada’s largest oil and gas producers. Gray attended the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT), graduating in 2011 with a diploma in Construction Engineering and is Gold Seal Certified by the Canadian Construction Association.
Marc Colombina leads operations, project management, logistics, and procurement for projects, building from his initial experience in logistics, regulatory analysis, and grant applications. He manages relationships with Federal, State, and Provincial granting bodies and tax credit organizations, and has helped secure and manage over $20M USD in grant funding to date.
His involvement in the energy and environmental policy sector includes participating in key policy changes such as the Distributed Generation Review and the transition from the Carbon Competitiveness Incentive Regulation to the Technology Innovation and Emissions Reduction programs. This work aligns corporate activities with evolving policy landscapes to ensure projects comply with all regulations, while also capitalizing on clean energy incentives to boost project returns. Marc graduated with a degree in History from the University of Alberta (BAhon - 2002-2007).
